Kodaly-Curwen Hand Signs

This Curwen hand sign chart is used in the application of Kodaly’s concepts, and represents the steps in a major scale.
The pattern of whole steps and half steps in a major scale are:

W  W  H  W  W  W  H

As the pitch rises, so does the hand. Using these signs to sing a C major scale, the hand signs represent the following note names:
